I have such fond memories singing My Heavenly Father Loves Me in Primary! This song title is the one I chose for my baptism, so it holds an extra special place in my heart.
This is a great song that teaches how everything around us and all of our blessings we have been given are from a loving Heavenly Father – I just love that message!

This idea may be best for Junior Primary, but can also be used in Senior. You’ll make a word symbol puzzle for My Heavenly Father Loves Me!

When you’re ready for the 2nd verse of My Heavenly Father Loves Me, there’s no better way to introduce the songs meaningful words than by showing some videos that will really make an impact. This lesson plan helps remind us to be grateful for the many blessings we have.

The kids LOVE using hand bells! If you haven’t tried them yet, now is a great time to get started. This song is so pretty with hand bells accompaniment. Includes a link to a free chart to download! Each hand bell note is represented with a different color that coordinates with most common hand bell sets.

The Junior primary especially loves reinforcing songs with scarves play, but don’t be mislead – the Senior boys secretly love it, too! I created a simple scarves pattern that correlates with My Heavenly Father Loves Me. Great for even the second verse.

As a fun bonus activity, try this Recorder version of My Heavenly Father Loves Me! It would be fun assignment for a 4th grader to learn and practice to share in Primary.
