PDF Issues

These resources are best accessed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

*Select Pages Before Printing: The resources includes lots of different formats to fit the needs of a variety of different Primary groups – both large and small – as well as music leader preferences. That means, you’ll find large formats, smaller formats, colorful, and black and white options in a variety of different styles across the resources. Keep in mind that you don’t need to print all the pages. Just print the resource style that is best suited for your needs.

*Chorus Page: The chorus page is not repeated across multiple verses in the printable packet. This is due to the sheer size of the packet. My personal preference is not to repeat the chorus when I personally print flip charts as they often don’t need it after the first verse. I also find it easy to just add a sticky tab and flip back to the chorus, as needed. You may want to print additional chorus pages, per your own flip chart style and preferences.

*Black Boxes: The #1 troubleshooting question I get is why is the file printing with black boxes overlaying the images! Sometimes, those using an Apple device and Apple’s native PDF Preview software may have black boxes that cover the transparent background of graphics. This issue can also happen with other 3rd party PDF viewers. The easiest way to fix the issue is to switch to using Adobe’s free Acrobat Reader.

  • If you’re using Adobe Acrobat reader and are still having this problem, or would like to try to troubleshoot with your current PDF viewer, you’ll look for these settings.
  • In Adobe Reader go to the menu bar and choose Edit > Preferences > Accessibility and uncheck the box to “Replace Document Colors”.
  • Alternatively, you can use your current PDF viewer and choose to “Print as Image”. That may slightly lower the print quality and you’ll only be able to print one page at a time.
