I’ve really fallen in love with the song Redeemer of Israel (archives) while singing it over and over to practice it and come up with all these fun Redeemer of Israel Singing Time ideas below!
I highly recommend teaching it, it’s a perfect song to help the kids remember that even though we don’t hear about Jesus Christ as often in the Old Testament, he is our Lord and King that is spoken of in the Old Testament Primary Songs just with other names! It’s also a beautiful song that just makes me think of the 2nd coming!
We sang this song TWICE at our recent Stake Conference (which is what we call Latter-day Saints worship services as a region) plus in General Conference! I love how much we are focusing on this song
It is the song of the month for Come Follow Me in April of the Old Testament year. If you have a bunch of little children in your Junior Primary, you might choose to focus on teaching this song to only your older children in the Senior Primary and give them a special song to sing as part of the Primary Program presentation in sacrament meeting!
