Called to Serve Lyrics

Verse 1:
Called to serve Him, heav’nly King of Glory,
Chosen e’er to witness for his name,
Far and wide we tell the Father’s story,
Far and wide his love proclaim.

Chorus:
Onward, ever onward as we glory in his name;
Forward pressing forward, as a triumph song we sing.
God our strength will be; press forward ever,
Called to serve our King.

Verse 2:
Called to know the richness of his blessings
Sons and daughters, children of a King
Glad of heart, his holy name confessing,
Praises unto him we bring.

Called to Serve - Flip Chart

The Flip Chart for Called to Serve (you can grab the download files below) is just 3 pages with a page for each of the 2 verses and one page for the chorus. You can easily print just the verses you plan to teach and skip the chorus page all together if your Primary already knows it! I often skip the chorus because it’s learned so quickly land easily, they don’t usually need the words.

Called to Serve - Flip Chart

The underlined part for the chorus means to repeat the line a second time! That’s a great way to add in a natural repeat, without needing all those extra words! I also like that it points out the repetition to the kids. You kind of know it when you’re singing it, but it makes it nice and obvious!

If you’re only using 2 pages, I like sticking them back-to-back in a sheet protector which makes them so easy to hold up and use during Singing Time (especially if I have a little helper!).
