This Stars Were Gleaming flip chart will be getting a ton of use in November and December, as this will be our main Primary Christmas song this year!
I wanted to work on this song last year, but the Ward Chorister asked us to join in on a version of When Joseph Went to Bethlehem.
Because our program was so late in the year (November!!!) we didn’t have time to do any additional Christmas songs. So, I’m really excited to be planning this song for this year!

Verse 1:
Stars were gleaming, shepherds dreaming;
And the night was dark and chill.
Angels’ story rang with glory;
Shepherds heard it on the hill.
Ah, that singing! Hear it ringing,
Earthward winging, Christmas bringing!
Hearken! We can hear it still!
Verse 2:
See the clearness and the nearness
Of the blessed Christmas star,
Leading, guiding; wise men riding
Through the desert dark and far.
Lovely showing, shining, growing,
Onward going, gleaming, glowing,
Leading still, our Christmas star!

Singing Time Flip Chart Printable
This Stars Were Gleaming flip chart is 4-pages long, with 2 pages for each verse. With all the adjectives at the ending of the song I wanted to make sure it was easy to read and so I used a little more spacing than I normally do. Still, this song should be simple to flip through with just 2 pages per verse.
