I was so inspired by a cute meme that talked about life being like a camera – it matters what you focus on – and the cute graphic they had used that this Focus on the Savior New Testament Primary Program Review theme just came to me, and I love it!!
I designed it specifically for all of the New Testament Primary songs, but it can be used any year.
Focus on the Savior Primary Program Review
Create a poster with a cute title and graphics from the choices to follow or just write on a title and use a picture from the Gospel Art Kit.
Print out pictures of the blank polaroid frames or the ones that match your program songs for the year with our pre-selected pictures. If you have different song picks, you could print a picture that you like from a different frame and then just print a blank frame and do a little cut and paste, then write on the song title!
Display the poster in the center of the board. Then, post the song polaroid pictures all around the white board or the room, but not on the poster yet. Tell the children you’re hoping to make the songs “picture perfect” for the program!
When each song is marked off as perfect, you can add it to the poster. One cute and easy way would be to attach 2 or 3 lines of twine and then use little clothespins to add the photos as the songs are ready to go! Or, like I did below, just tape them on with some cute patterned washi tape!!
You can use this theme to help remind children why we are sharing these songs – to share our testimony of Christ!
I also love this quote that would be perfect to tie into this theme: “The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.” – Russell M. Nelson
So now, let’s FOCUS on getting these songs beautiful and ready to share our testimony of the Savior through music!
You can add a couple of steps along the way, to help them see their progress, such as the following:
- A little blurry
- Coming into focus
- Almost there
- Picture Perfect!
Or work towards specific goals to check off:
- Eye Contact – Don’t blink! – OR – Everyone look right here
- Smile – Smile for the camera! – OR – Show me your teeth
- Stand Still – Just try and relax – OR – Hold that pose!
- Avoid Talking – 1, 2, 3… – OR – Say cheese!
After you’ve grabbed the printables below, head over to see this adorable Let’s Get the Bugs Out Primary Program Review theme! It’s a perfect one to pair with this poster to work on specific issues with each song before marking them off as “picture perfect.”

If you need more help, send me an email and I can guide you with some screenshots of the steps.
I love this review idea! Thank you! You have a page to print that says “Picture Perfect.” Do you have any printables for the other levels you suggested– “A Little Blurry” and “Coming into Focus”? I’d like to move the polaroid prints below each heading as we work on songs.
Wendy, that’s a great idea! I had not previously made those signs – but I still had my template so I was able to make those and add them to the extended printables packet!
