My Own Sacred Grove Draw My Grove
Sing through My Own Sacred Grove once with our My Own Sacred Grove flip chart, before introducing this activity.
Ask the children: Do you have a special place where you go to pray and talk to Heavenly Father? Where is your own sacred grove? You can let the children ponder on their sacred spaces or accept some answers.

Tell them to think about their sacred space while you sing through the song again together.
After the next time through the song, invite 2-3 children to come up front to draw their sacred space up on the board. You can talk through some ideas, if helpful. You could also ask whose sacred space is outdoors? Invite 2-3 children that raise their hand to come up to work on an outdoor scene together.

After you make your way through a few different locations, ask the children what it is that makes these spaces special and unique?
Share your testimony or personal experience seeking quiet, sacred spaces in your own life. You can add a testimony that the temple is one of those places that can become a sacred space for you as a place to find peace and answers.

Extension Activities:
- Talk about different sacred spaces they might already have around them and then use a fun themed way to sing that coordinates with each of those spaces!
- Post the different sacred space scenes around the room. Invite the children to look around the room and find a space that they connect with. You can have one child pick a scene and bring it to the front of the room and share why they picked it or invite all the children to get up and stand by a space they connect with. Then let them pick a 2nd and 3rd space as you sing through the song on repeat.
- You can have the children all draw their own sacred grove as you sing through the song. Then have the children bring them up front to show and tell about where they can best feel the Spirit between singing.
