What’s one of dad’s favorite sports? Golf of course! Bring in this fun Primary Golf Singing Time game for a fun singing time activity to help you review your choice of Father’s Day song or to simple sing through a mix of songs of your choice.
This is just one of the many different fun Father’s Day Singing Time ideas you can find on this site. I had so much fun creating this new and different activity to help you review a mix of songs or a single song of your choice.

Primary Golf Singing Time Game
Put the colorful golf balls all over the board. Add tape lines to the floor 3’ away from the goal, and also at 4’, 5’, and 6’ away. Tape a cup or small tote to the ground so it doesn’t move.
Invite a child to pick one of the golf balls to pick the song to sing. Let them lead the song up front.
After the song is finished, rate how well the children sang the song – with a score of 1 (Hole-in-One), 2 (Eagle), 3 (Birdie), or 4 (Par).

Invite that child to do their best to putt a ball and see if they can get it in a goal. Let them start at the line of how well you ranked the singing – with one being the closest to the goal and so on.
If the child makes the putt by getting the golf ball into the cup, let them pick the next song to sing or a silly way to sing – whatever works best for your needs.
Then, continue with a new helper, new song selection and putting again at the end of each time through the song.

Example Golf Ways to Sing:
- Golf Clap – Clap softly using the ends of your fingers on the edge of your palm.
- Wave Flag – Use dance scarves or flags and wave them along with the melody.
- Walk in Place – Walk in place while you sing like you are walking to the next hole.
- Kids Choice – Let the child pick their own idea for a fun way to sing.

Extension Activities:
- You can instead review a single song of your choice. Let the children pick a fun way to sing each time through the song or whenever they make a putt shot.
- Use the 4 golf scoring to track how well you are learning all of your Primary songs throughout the year. Move them up in rank until each song is a Hole-in-One!
- Use the ways to sing cards and tape them to different cups on the floor. Let a child putt a golf ball and try to get it into one of the cups then use that way to sing!
