I love coming up with creative ways to help the kids have meaningful experiences with the song, and I think this one is just perfect! With this Choose the Right Way Hidden Picture the kids will help you discover the hidden phrase.

This will give you tons of opportunities to talk about the meaning of the phrase to Choose the Right Way and help give the kids a visual image of the song in their minds as you learn the song throughout the year! This will be one of our New Testament Primary Songs for 2023!

Choose the Right Way Hidden Picture

How to Play:

Sing through Choose the Right Way first before introducing this activity. You can turn to our Choose the Right Way Flip Chart if you need it!

Have 2-3 kids come up front to help you. Each gets a specific-colored crayon and works to search for their specific color’s letters and color in the squares.

Sing and color until you’ve finished the puzzle.

Point out the importance of choosing the right and following the covenant path. This is a recurring theme in the Come Follow Me study manuals, so it’s really a great key point to bear testimony on while teaching with this activity!

As a fun alternative, you can break the kids up into group and give each group the 5 colored crayons needed. Each time through the song the kids will use one colored crayon to work on finding and coloring in the boxes.

Then, rotate their crayon to the right and start again! This lets everyone get to color along and they’ll get to take the fun picture home to share with their families!

Color Guide:

• B = Blue = “Choose”
• G = Green = right arrow for “Right”
• O = Orange = “The”
• R = Red = “Way”
• P = Purple = Bonus arrow!

There’s an “easy mode” coloring page for little ones can use to practice color matching and coloring in the lines. Or, choose page 3 or 4 for a coloring sheet with a color guide or without a color guide (use a unique color for each letter – any color will do!)
