I Love to See the Temple Hidden Pictures Singing Time Extension Ideas:
Everyone Colors – Print out the 1-page version and have the kids work on one color at a time each time you sing through the song. You can group the kids in small groups of 4 and let them rotate which crayon they use, or have everyone color green, then blue, etc.
Team Challenge – Pair up the children into small groups. Have them work together on the 1-page printable to complete the activity together while you sing. You can make a goal of first to finish, best coloring job, first to guess the picture, etc.
Hand Temples – When they can see what’s in the picture (either as a group or in the small groups) you can have them switch from coloring to making a temple with their hands to indicate they’ve finished!
To make a temple with your hands, you’ll interlock fingers to about the knuckles with the backs of your hands touching (backwards from how you would normally interlock fingers).
Then, keeping the fingers interlaced, you’ll bend your palms down so they are facing each other. This will give you two two fists with your fingers interwoven.
Now, just raise up both pointer fingers. Use both thumbs to close the fist like little doors of the temple.
