This fun Come, Follow Me Painting lesson plan is a fun way for visual learners to really absorb the message of this song. With the pictures of Christ’s life you’ll be able to tie in the message of Christ’s invitation to follow him with what it was that he taught while he walked the earth.

Come, Follow Me – Painting Pictures
This is just one fun idea for how I will be teaching the hymn Come, Follow Me this year as a Primary music leader.
These ideas are also perfect for use in your home study or classroom setting, as well!

How to Play:
Print out pictures to color or paint with watercolors while singing. Call on 2-3 children to come up to help paint in the pictures while the class sings. You can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, even water paints!
Continue repeating the process with new children as your volunteers until the pictures are filled in.
Extension Ideas:
– Share a brief testimony how these moments really happened and how the Savior wants us to follow the example he set for us during his life.
– Share the completed pictures with a less active Primary member or an investigator. The kids can sign the back of the picture or write an invitation to come to church.
– Share a brief story on how the picture correlates to Christ’s invitation to follow him.
– Frame the completed puzzles to use on your bulletin board. The kids will love seeing something they worked on repurposed as art!
