Pick a few volunteers to share their favorite thing about their mom. Isn’t it cool that our moms are all so different, yet they share one specific thing in common – their love for us!
Hold up one picture. What is happening in this picture? How is this mom showing her love? That’s right – she’s helping her daughter with a project!

How about this one? Show one picture at a time, taking just a minute to think about how each mother showed love for her child.
Now, let’s see if we can HEAR an example of a mother’s love. Play an audio clip of a mother saying, “I love you” or speaking kindly. I’ve included some free sound links later in this post for some helpful examples.

Extension Activities:
- Ask several mothers or primary children in your ward to record themselves saying a small message. Can you guess whose mom it is?
- Write a few lines of the song on the back of each picture. As you share the pictures, introduce the song one line at a time. Or, write the lyrics on the front and scramble up the pictures for a simple unscramble review activity!
- Talk about faithful mothers from the scriptures., such as Mary (Jesus) Sariah (Nephi), Sarah (Isaac), Mothers of Army of Helaman, etc.
- Write a fun way to sing on the back of each picture. Choose a child to come up and show the picture, then sing through the song. Ex. Girls Only, Boys Only, Whisper Sing, Do jumping jacks, Stand on one foot, Sing with your teeth together
- Write Mother’s Day cards! Write a sentence or draw a picture telling your mom what you love most about her.
