Do you like to teach Mother’s Day Primary Songs? Whether the kids are asked to sing in Sacrament meeting or not, I like to spend a little time with a Mother’s Day song, even if it’s just for a small part of my singing time for a week or 2!
I totally understand that Mother’s Day can be a really difficult holiday for some. But even so, I do think there is a lot of value in celebrating motherhood. Even those beautiful women who haven’t had the opportunity to bear or raise children are very much, in my opinion, mother’s in many ways in their wards, communities, employment opportunities and more ways.
And even as a woman who has lost a child, I still appreciate being recognized as motherhood is DANG HARD WORK!
Mother’s day is always celebrated on the 2nd Sunday in May. In 2022, Mother’s Day is on May 8th. In 2023, you’ll have until May 14th to prepare!
With those dates in mind, you’ll likely want to add a Mother’s Day song, if you’re planning to teach one, as one of your activities throughout April!
