When I Am Baptized was a program song last year, too, so chances are your Primary already knows the song pretty well. Still, it’s a really fun song that the kids like – even if they always call it, “I like to look for rainbows” from the first line of the lyrics.
While it would be nice to introduce a new song, When I Am Baptized (archives) is so very easy that you’ll be able to just review it a few times during the year and a couple of learning games for the littlest ones in Junior Primary and it will be ready to go!
This song is part of the Doctrine & Covenants Come Follow Me Singing Time and it’s also recommended for Book of Mormon, New Testament years!! I recommend teaching When I Am Baptized during the D&C Primary Songs Rotation!
That will leave you more time to work on other songs or let you hold your Primary program earlier in the year.

For the When I Am Baptized flip charts, there are just 3 pages. One page per verse and a flip chart page for the chorus. This makes this song chart so easy to use and flip though.
You could even skip the chorus page all together and opt for a single sheet protector with the first verse on the front and the second verse on the back side. That’s the best way to display with lyrics with NO fuss!
I’ll be teaching both verses and decided to make a 3-page flip chart for this song as it helps to reinforce the chorus, rather than just the rainbow line of the song!
