For a fun way to add in lots of singing repetition as you teach this song, you’ll love this I Stand All Amazed Four Corners singing time activity. Divide your Primary room into 4 equal groups and then each group sings one line of the song before rotating to the next corner.
Will you spend any time teaching I Stand All Amazed (archives) to your Primary children? I think it’s such a powerful hymn and is a great option to teach as one of the Doctrine & Covenants Primary Songs, or whenever it works best for your Primary.

I Stand All Amazed Four Corners
Sing through I Stand All Amazed (flip chart here) once, before introducing this activity.
Explain to the Primary children the structure of this activity before you get started so they understand the expectations. There is no running between groups and you’ll stick together with your Primary class and teacher as you move between corners.
Divide the Primary room into 4 equal groups. With a small Primary, you could do 2 groups instead and just give each group two alternating lines of the song.

Sing through the song and point to each corner to help indicate who should be singing. Each group will sing one line of the song. Then, everyone sings the chorus all together.
After each group has sung through the line from their corner, each group will walk in clockwise direction moving from one corner of the room to the next corner.
Now, you’ll sing through the song again this time with a new line to all sing together.

Extension Activities:
- Go through the corners again and this time add an action to each of the 4 corners to use while that corner sings. Clap, pat, snap, or stomp once per word.
- You could also setup this activity from the seats and add one action at a time as you sing through the song for each line.
- Roll a dice to decide which line of the song to sing together as a Primary. Silent sing all the lines except the one you roll or silent sing just the line you roll.
- You can play this activity with elimination! Eliminate one group either randomly with a dice roll or by which group was performing the worst (wiggly, quiet, didn’t remember the words, for example). The eliminated corner sits down and sings all parts of the song while the corners still just sing their part. If using a dice, 1-4 can represent each corner, 5 can be corners 1/3 and 6 can be corners 4/6.
