How well do UNO Nephi’s Courage? Play this fun and easy Nephi’s Courage UNO Review game to help you review a mix of all the different verses with a fun and simple activity that gets everyone singing.
Since Nephi’s Courage is an easier song a lot of the kids will know the first verse and chorus, this is a fun way to introduce additional verses or review other verses while still mixing in those early verses they love to sing! I love to include this song during the Come Follow Me Book of Mormon year for Primary. It’s a great song that talks all about Nephi and the lessons we can learn from his willingness to obey – as we are asked to obey as well!

Prepare a poster with colorful red, blue, yellow, then green paper lined up like a UNO playing card. Put a picture, symbol, lyrics, or other indicator to tell the children what each color will represent. Or use my printouts below with the verses color-coded.
I recommend putting each of the 3 verses and the chorus in one of the four color spots. This is a great way to review the whole song, with a fun way to pick which verse to sing!
Cut out all of the colored number cards or use a deck of UNO cards with a couple number cards of each color pulled to create a deck. Shuffle all cards together.
Invite a helper to come up and randomly draw one of your cards. You’ll sing the verse or line associated with the color on the card and sing it through the number of times that corresponds with the number on the card.
You can use this Nephi’s Courage flip chart if you are still learning the verses.
When you draw a wild card you can use it to sing in a silly way, such as sing the last verse first and work your way back to the first verse, sing extra fast, sing with your eyes closed, sing every other word, etc. Or, you can let the helper her drew the wild pick their favorite way to sing!
You can continue to play drawing cards and singing through a mix of the verses and fill up the whole singing time, or just go until each verse has been sung at least once and switch to a different activity.
- Use just one line of a particular verse instead and fill up all 4 spots with a different line.
- Hide the verse cards around the room. Invite a child to hunt for the verse. Then, they can randomly select a card from the matching colored cards.
- If you want to focus on singing the verses in the correct order, invite a child to be a seeker and step outside the Primary room. Hide the verse card and draw a number card randomly. Invite the seeker back into the room and start singing! They’ll need to find the verse card before you make it through the song as many times as the number you drew. You can sing hot and cold style, if you would like, singing loud as they get closer to finding your hidden verse title.
