This Little Light of Mine Color Your Light
Sing through This Little Light of Mine with a flip chart here one time, before you begin this activity.
Ask the children some ideas for where you might find light around them. They might answer things such as a flashlight, lightbulb, the sun, a candle, etc. Take a bunch of answers.

Tell your Primary children that this song is saying that they have a light inside of them, too. This light comes from your knowledge of Jesus Christ! Draw a picture of what your light inside of you might look like or your favorite source of light.

Sing through the song 2-3 more times while the children work on their pictures and sing along with you.
Have all of the children come up front and put their pictures all over the board.
Praise how beautiful their pictures are. Tell them to imagine that light that they drew bursting out of them as they sing! Sing together one more time with everyone sharing their light by singing!

End with your testimony that our knowledge of Jesus Christ helps us to be a light not just to help ourselves navigate this world, but to help other people find Jesus, too. Encourage the children to share their light with others this week!

Extension Activities:
- You can use the printable light sources cards instead – use the colored or coloring page light sources and let the children write a way they share their light or color in a light source as you sing!
- Let the children pick a light source. Pair each light source with a way to sing action!
- Print two of each light source and play a game of match! Flip over pages until you find two matching light sources.
- Hide different light sources around the room and go on a hunt to find the light sources! Share how we can help to gather light by sharing the gospel with others!
