Choose Him Again Song Quiz
I love the message that this sweet primary song teaches. The song, Choose Him Again could really fit into any of your Come Follow Me rotations. Just be sure to get approval from your Bishop beforehand.
If you’ve never tried a song quiz in primary, the basic idea behind this activity is to come up with a list of simple questions with answers that come directly from the lyrics. As you sing, simply take turns answering questions.
For this activity, I chose questions that specifically refer to the first verse and chorus, but you can absolutely add questions for additional verses if you’d like!
At the beginning of singing time, start with a brief review of Choose Him Again. I recommend keeping your Choose Him Again flip chart handy in case you need an extra hint.
Then, tell the children that you have a fun test for them. Who likes tests? This test is so easy – it’s all about our song!
Read the first question. Where did we live before we came to earth? Look for volunteers to answer the question. Yes! We lived in heaven as spirit children of Heavenly Father.
Let’s try another question. Heavenly Father prepared us for the ______ to come. Hmm, does anyone have a guess? Sing through the first few lines if you are stumped.
Continue working through the questions as you sing together. As you talk about each question, take a minute to share a simple doctrine. After all, that is our purpose in teaching songs in primary!
Don’t forget to share a brief testimony at the end. Your simple testimony will carry into their hearts and hopefully stay with them throughout the week.

Extension Activities:
- Turn your primary room into a game show! Divide the room into two teams and have one “player” from each team come up to answer a question. Bring in some buzzers or bells for a fun way to add some competition!
- Cut the questions into word strips and tape them around the room or underneath chairs. Pick one question at a time as you sing.
- Choose a reader or “host” to read the questions to the class. After the group answers correctly, pick a new reader.
- Write a silly way to sing on the back of each question. This Sing Like an Animal activity has tons of silly ideas to add an extra element of fun!
