Are you looking for a fun way to better get to know your Primary children? It would be perfect for a newly called music leader or use it as a fun way to pick a helper! Use this as one of your fun Back to School singing time activities with printable Primary Pals Pennant Banner!

Primary Pals Pennant
Print out your choice of styles and colors of the pennant cards. There are 4 different styles to pick from. You can print the black and white on colored cardstock or print the pre-colored designs.
Cut out the pennant triangles below.
Hand out one pennant to each child. Or, let them pick from the different styles and come up one class at a time to get their card and supplies.

Have the children color, decorate, and answer the questions on their card. Write their first name on the back of the card.
While they are doing this sing through your choice of song on repeat or sing through a mix of songs. This would be a great way to introduce your new songs for the year in a relaxed atmosphere or to review the songs they are learning for the program.
Have all the children return their card when finished and return to their seat and sing along.

Draw out one of the pennant cards randomly. You can put them in a bowl and mix them all together. Let the child who’s card it is be your helper! They can help lead, be the next to help with a specific task, or simply introduce themselves if you’re looking to better get to know the kids in your Primary if you’re new or have rearranged boundaries.
Have a teacher or one of the Primary Presidency take the pennant card and string it adding it to create a customized banner! Run the string in from the from on the left hold and behind the back of the pennant then out through the right hole. Try to mix up the order of the questions or colors to add variety!
The kids will absolutely love seeing their picture displayed!

Extension Activities:
- Use the blank pennant cards to fill in the pennant cards with your choice of question, prompt, picture to draw or anything else you’d like. You might have the children draw their favorite line from a specific song, for example.
- Use this activity as a fun back to school activity as a getting to know you game that will remind you of starting a new school year and getting to know everyone in the room together.
- Decorate a bulletin board in the Primary room or hallway with the Primary Pals pennant to show off the kids creativity and favorites! Avoid using personally identifiable information such as names and ages on the front of the cards.
- Pick just a few of the cards each week and add them onto the pennant! This is a great option for filling extra time or adding in a few fun songs each week.
